MISSION & VALUES

Through Kingdom learning, The Samuel School educates, equips, and empowers students to courageously explore God's creation; develop authentic, flourishing relationships with God and others; and earnestly discover their God-designed identity and destiny.

Our Mission

Christian education is more than education. It includes the work of the Holy Spirit and the equipping of believers (Ephesians 4:12). The educating and equipping process supports students in their faith walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). The faith walk starts by opening the door of the heart to Jesus (Revelations 3:20). Jesus reveals Himself to His disciples through His Spirit and creation (Romans 1:20). Exploration of God’s world and heart leads to the discovery of His passion filled purposes with which He creates all people (Jeremiah 29:11). Then, as His disciples pursue and fulfill His purposes, God’s Kingdom continues to naturally increase (Isaiah 9:7).

How it Works

Kingdom Restoration Core Values - These are the values Jesus highlighted for us in relation to the Parable of the Prodigal Son that equip people, organizations (schools), and nations to Kingdom restoration. It is our honor to live in these core values.

1. Awakening – It is through God’s grace that we are awakened spiritually (Eph. 2:8-9)

2. Repentance – We apologize for choosing less and now turn to God’s best (Mat 6:33)

3. Intimacy with God – Intentionally loving God and with His heart loving people (Mar. 12:30-31)

4. Identity in Christ – Living and growing as Kingdom citizens (1 Pet. 2:9)

5. Authority of the Believer – Exercising our rights and responsibilities as Kingdom citizens (Luk. 10:19)

6. Liberty to Fulfill Purpose – Freely pursuing and fulfilling our purpose in creation (Eph. 2:10)

7. Celebrating God and His Goodness – Giving thanks to God for His goodness and blessings (Ps. 32:11)

Core Values

Experiencing the Love of God... Learning His Ways...

Your child is made in the image of God. Your child, bearing the image of God, thrives in an environment filled with the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control). By the grace of God, this is precisely the environment we provide for students of The Samuel School!

We understand that the nurturing and support of a child's spirit of the utmost importance. When a person's spirit is properly supported, their emotions, physical health and mental capacity excel in growth. At The Samuel School, we seek and embrace the reality of the Kingdom of God for the benefit of the school. God's promise in Matthew 6:33 is that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything else will be added. Everything else includes the very best we can ask for regarding life in general and education in specific.

Your Child - God's Image Bearer

Genesis 1:27, Galatians 5:22-23, Matthew 6:33

God is very clear that we are to make away, even if it includes suffering, for children to come to Him (Luke 18:16). This coming to Jesus was never intended to be secularized, as if it was possible to put God in a box. But rather, this coming to Jesus is a way of life, a way of living (John 14:6). Coming to Jesus is to be demonstrated in all of life, at home, in class, in learning, with friends and with family. If we desire for children to live a life filled with faith where they learn to walk with God by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, then it makes sense to join a schools, such as The Samuel School, that support that mission!

Your Child - Coming to Jesus at Home, School & Everywhere

Luke 18:16, John 14:6

Your child was created with a specific God-given purpose. Our honor is to discover, nurture and release your child in that purpose. When your child walks in the purpose for which God has created them, then, and only then, will they truly be living life to its fullest! I tell my students, a snowblower does not delight in cutting the grass. How much more important is it for each and everyone of us to discover the purpose for which God has created us!
